Pair large valve C-heads $50

Pair of C Heads....

They had the large 2.07 intake valves in them.

These will need everything. Seats are wiped out & need new guides.
They are priced accordingly.

$50

How much would shipping be to 43232? Are there any cracks?

A couple of the valve stem stubs at the top have cracks, and a couple are gone all together, but this should not matter as they will be replaced when they are drilled out and thickwall guide inserts are installed.

I could not see any other cracks, but am not sure as i did not have them magnafluxed or further checked after i got another set of heads for myself.

I'm not entirely sure how how to package these properly for shipping, but will try and get you an estimate this week. They will likely have to be separate packages because of their weight.

Cleaning a set of these will run $50 at least, around here.
This is a bargain, if the castings not cracked.
I am sure the prices on these will be going up, pretty soon.

Good luck with the sale.
Love the Volvo video.

How are the cast iron bosses that are part of the casting and hold the guides replaceable? I would think since these are broke off it would be expensive?

Standard procedure.
They drill out the guide to .500", and install a .502" guide in it.
Then they ream the guide to size it for the valve.
Then you have to cut valve and seat for proper seal.
Usually $6 per guide.

Any machine shop can do it.

Do them all, anyway. It is the best way to size the guide for the valve, when doing a valve job.

I sold a set some time ago and I made two double wall cardboard boxes. I attach a piece of rope to the head and through the box to form a carry handle for each box.
