Original Rear Spoiler

I am thinking of selling the original rear spoiler I picked up a few months ago, so I can raise cash to rebuild the motor. Overall it is in good shape, with the exception of a small chip on one of the edges (easy fix), and two of the screw wholes being stripped, again an easy fix. There are no cracks or other damage and comes with new mounting studs a nuts. Any interest shoot me a PM

Here are a few pics... The spoiler was stripped at one point, primed grey and then primed black. What I found cool about this spoiler are the pedestals have a slight indent on the top that were never filled by the factory. I have seen several other originals that were all filled, but none like this. The pictures below show the two small ships on the one side of the spoiler, and the bottom of the spoiler where the screw holes need to be epoxied.

John, just a couple tips on selling?
You need to post an asking price, and your location so guys can also figure in the shipping.

Nice looking OEM spoiler BTW.

Allan,

As always, thank you for your feedback.. At this point I am open to reasonable offers. I paid $450 or $500 (can't remember) when I bought it in January. I have seen these sell anywhere between $400 and $800 depending on condition. I figured I would offer it here before posting on ebay.

BTW - I am located in Hopedale MA.

Is this spoiler heavy and solid fiberglass? i saw one that was light weight, seamed hollow and didn't have 3 holes in it to mount to the trunk. the pedestals had 2 studs to mount to the trunk and a long stud through the pedestals to hold the spoiler to the trunk. it was in the trunk of a car i was looking to buy and appeared to have been mounted on the car at one time. The spoiler itself did not have 3 holes in it just 1 long stud.

It is mostly likely a reproduction... The best repo on the market it from Fusicks - I ended up selling the one above and a year later bought one from Fusicks

Original wing

Yes you are correct, the original wings produced for GM had 3 studs on each side. The center stud was part of the wing, while the pedestals had 2 studs each. There was also 2 large flat head wood screws holding each pedestal to the wing itself. I have 2 GM originals on my cars.

With all the cars that have them now why worry? If you want a wing just do it. 🤐
