*****SOLD*******These plates were sold at the Oldsmobile dealers starting in 1970. They had an Oldsmobile part number and were considered an accessory. They would typically be installed on the cars that only required a rear license plate. They were also sometimes used on the cars in the dealers showroom. This one is used but not abused. These pop up on ebay fairly often if you are looking. I got a pair of them a while back. One in the same color scheme as the one listed in this for sale thread, and another all silver with a black pinstripe (see pic below). Usually bring right around the price of the one listed.
