Olds type "O" rear end

Hello, I am new to this site and I have a complete Olds Type "O" Posi rear end that I am trying to sell. Are they in demand? Are they worth anything...If so what do they normally go for? The posi carrier does need to be rebuilt but I can't imagine new clutches costing very much. If you want it or know someone please contact me. Thanks!!!

Location and gear, 10/12bolt ? Will help people point you on cost
I've seen 12 bolts go for 300.00-1300.00 depends in condition and gearing

I live in Green Bay, WI. Has 4.11 gears. Make me a good offer and it's yours.

I don't think Olds used the 4.11 gears. They had 3.91 and 4.33 in the Type O rear ends though. Did you pop the cover and count the teeth or rotate the yoke and count the rotations? There should also be a two letter code stamped into the passenger side axle tube, usually on the back but not always. Depending on what year the rear end is from it might be something like a TO or TY. Can you find that code and post it?

411'S were chevy, so if it is a Type O should be 342,391 or TY 433.
Def interested in it just want to know what it is first

John are they difficult to re-build? ty Dean

Dean, I've never rebuilt one. But it may be wise to check on availability of the parts before you agree on a purchase price.

4.11 gears were available for a short time in the aftermarket for the O type 12 bolt but are no longer made.
