Just a fyi, that mirror is not correct for a '70-'72 Cutlass. The cable is longer, the remote **** is wrong & it has studs on the base. The '70-'72 mirrors attach differently. That mirror is from late '70s to mid '80s I think.

 

Don't know what year it is but GM a body started the use of mounting studs in 1973 model year.
