Like to give this opportunity to thank Chris for this observation making this more appealing

 

For those of us who are not 68 experts, what is different about the 68 grommet?

 

I believe it is that on the RH cover, the grommet has a smaller ID than the later ones because the metal breather tube pushed directly into it, as opposed to the big breather "can" the later ones have that used larger diameter nipple on the bottom of it that goes into the valve cover.
