This means they are the 71/72 design with the crumple zones - there is a set on ebay now for $1500

the ones on Ebay have been worked.

If you look up the part number they 70 - 72... So they are the ones with the crumple zones

Vader was referring to the individual tabs for the inner fender bolt holes. The 70 fenders have a wider,solid lip.
The way the front of the 70 fender was cut,behind the bumper,is also slightly different than 71-72.

Looked up where? When a newer part superceded an older one, Olds deleted the original P/N from the parts book. The fact that Olds sold 71-72 style fenders as fitting 1970 cars (which they do) doesn't make them correct for 1970. Olds also showed K heads as the superceded P/N on 1970 W-30s. That doesn't make them correct either.

Keep in mind that the parts book was only intended to show parts needed to keep cars running, not for OCA-quality restorations.
