I have one of these NOS also. I just can't bring myself to let it go. It is one of the last NOS parts I have left from my big barn full of parts and cars I bought out in 2012. I believe this is the first one I have seen come up for sale since I got mine.

I ended up with 2 of them. I’m not making anything on this. It was my cost. Just figured someone should put it to good use. Al

Nice piece, Al. I had one from ~1984 listed about 18 months ago and had about 10 questions of whether it had “Dekaware” embossed on it like early OEM ones (it does not). Still have the ****. Maybe I’ll put a Dual Gate in one of my cars someday...

Cool. Yes this one says Daka-ware. Chicago. Made in USA underneath it.

It appears Terry ‘s **** does not have the groove around it also. I believe that to be factory original for the 70-72 Cutlass/442. From what I can tell most of the NOS ***** have the groove and are correct for the Camaro. I guess GM didn’t see much sense in making two parts that one could do the job for. They stopped making the Olds part and superseded it with the Chevy one. I don’t know that as fact that’s just what I found when I looked into it. My dual gate was added by me and it has the ball with the groove and the shifter handle with the indicator line so it’s most likely later piece.

Very much speculation on my part but look at the code of my box 76F6. June 6th 1976? Al

Agreed. My 1970 Supreme had a smooth shifter ball on the factory Dual Gate. I still have it around here somewhere.

The 72 W-30 I had with 16,000 miles had the groove.

Eric that’s interesting and that’s the kind of information that makes me think I should keep this ball.

I did not own that car since new but I have a hard time believing it was ever changed. The tires, battery, and front bumper were all changed and someone added the old day car alarm to it that drilled holes in the door jambs and trunk jamb. Other than that I want to believe it was all original. I just fond more pictures of that car last night that I need to scan. I need to look and see if I have anything close up of the shifter.

Ken. Please pay the shipping as requested as I was kind enough to have sent it. Rather than have you wait longer for it. Respectfully, Al
