NOS Cutlass G body hood release cable
Shoot me an email and I’ll get your info. dead@mchsi.com
I didn’t find it on eBay. Said out of stock at $150. I guess it’s all relative since they haven’t made any for about 30 years. Somebody safely stored it for nearly 40 years or hunted it down. You can certainly cobble together a simple cable from the inside and drill into the lower dash to mount it.

"deaddds" is a scammer and a fraud: reported to Classic Oldsmobile.
She is a scammer seeking to entrap the unsuspecting. Ten emails were exchanged regarding the purchase of a GM Hood Release Cable (20429339). Excuse after excuse she provided. She (allegedly) stated to send her a check or money, or cashiers check. When I replied as to stating to conduct the transaction on PayPal, she said to send the money to her email. I further added to send an invoice to PayPal and she said it would be 4% extra. I agreed. She then sent an email stating she does not deal with PayPal and for me to look elsewhere. She really fell into her own trap, in contradicting herself or whoever it is. All emails have been kept and documented for future reference. People like this should not be adjoined or part of Classic Oldsmobile forum. This person should be removed whereas they may not deceive any other. All links on Classic oldsmobile can be provided.

Yeah ok. This moron can’t distinguish that my wife shows up on the email header as the provider can’t/ won’t correct it. So my signing off on my correspondence w regards Pat seems to throw him. That being said, I’ve offered several ways to pay and get the part. I prefer postal mo and ship it fast. Any other check I take but it requires 10 day hold to clear. Dude insists on PayPal and send an invoice and blah blah blah. I don’t include my costs other than the postal estimate. Sometimes it’s off a few cents either way and eat anything on my side. Those that know me here know I’m fair but sure as **** ain’t jumping thru hoops for a buyer on their terms and theirs only. Buy it somewhere else, I don’t give a ****. For me this is just a hobby out of control. I pay fair amounts to numerous collectors so this stuff doesn’t go into landfills, lost forever. I bag, tag, stock it and make myself reasonably available while still fully working treating pts all week. Good luck on ur search cause now you won’t get it from me.
ADDENDUM:
Without an invoice, there is no way to recoup my funds on Paypal should there be any impropriety. Paypal advised me to have the seller send an invoice (Free of Charge). I was even going to pay 4% extra whereby all business people charge 3%. The person initially stated to send the funds to her email via Paypal. If there was anything wrong, again I could not receive support from Paypal or recover my funds. However, with an invoice not any can attempt to defraud any, for PayPal would not pay the person. Why would the person request 4% extra on Paypal, then state they do not use Paypal and 'go somewhere else', adding vulgarities? Open your eyes people.

Yep, look at the timeline Sherlock. You didn’t want to do a check in any form and only wanted PayPal. I acquiesced but add 4% to cover the juice. THEN you wanted me to invoice it. You do know PayPal is the invoice right? So since I already don’t like PayPal by and large, and now you wanted me to do an invoice, I said never mind. I’m the only one out financially on this up to this point as I had to go back and forth to town to get the part, go to the po to get it packaged, which you said u wanted, then find out a relatively simple way to pay wasnt simple enough for you. I didn’t tack extra on for my inconvenience and am already eating my costs since I decided best not to sell to you as I suspect SOMETHING will not be up to ur liking and I cut my loses. Then YOU want to bitch? Wow. Btw, scammers typically don’t provide their home address and unknowningly forgot my wife’s name is on the account. Regards Pat
No, Paypal does not invoice 'without' the seller authorizing such. Call Paypal and they will provide the details. Here is the link to fill out a free invoice: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mp...cing-templates. You make no sense in stating,"You do know PayPal is the invoice right"? That is utterly absurd. She clearly stated to send her funds using her email to Paypal whereby there would be 'no' record other than the seller receiving funds. Why would she request 4% extra to go through Paypal then state, "I don't deal with Paypal", 'Go somewhere else'. Surely there is much to be looked at here, even your jealousy and anger.
* It does not make any difference who the person selling the product is, rather the intent. Clearly, you have not addressed the questions, 1. "Why did the 'person' state to send 4% extra to Paypal, then, state, 'I do not use Paypal', "Go somewhere else"? That is pure contradiction. 2. Paypal does not automatically invoice, 'The seller has to provide an invoice stating the product for sale'. You did not adress that question. May Yahweh bless you and your family.
Read the actual exchange. AFTER I acquiesced and said tack on the 4% then you insisted on an invoice. THEN I said you know what, I typically don’t accept PayPal and was not going to send an invoice so just walk away and cancel the deal. That is NOT the same as flat out stating I don’t take PayPal. So at least READ the exchange to be accurate. Again, I’m the only one out time and money here. In hindsight when you claimed you couldn’t do anything other than PayPal I should have just cancelled it then. Then again, I had already done everything you had asked me to do so I bent my own payment rule. Stupid mistake that won’t happen again. Lesson learned

Cheese-us Rice, synoptic12! Nobody on Earth can choose to contradict themselves, only when you decide it's allowed? FFS.
You tick off the seller and then want to lay it all out here whining like a little school girl who got her hair pulled on the playground? Quit playing the victim card like you always seem to do when things don't go your way, man the f** up, brush it off, and chalk it up to a bad experience. Spend your time searching elsewhere for your part than fighting with someone who isn't going to sell you the part now no matter what you do. What are you gonna do? Sue him, too, because you didn't get what you wanted?
I also find it very small of you to call him out and post personal addresses here when you didn't lose not a single, dang dime in the deal. That's just some bullshit. He ought to do the same to you. You just want to **** and moan because he didn't sell you the part you wanted on your terms or nothing. So you got nothing. It's a wonder he didn't tell you to go fly a kite at the jump. Quit acting like such an ingrate when someone tries to help.

Firstly, clean your mouth and stop trying to be someone you're not. Secondly, if there were a contract and there was not any, I would personally serve notice to bring you to court. There are enough exhibits whereby the judge or any judge would find against you, no doubt in my mind, none. You really should seek help.

Enough of this, we doubt Deaddds is a scammer as he has been on the site for a while selling parts. This type of thing happens from time to time, let's just chalk this up to a personality conflict, drop it, and move on. No one has lost anything in this transaction but time and brain cells. Do not post a members private info without permission in public forums.

I was unaware of posting private info (address) where I should have used more discretion. Irrespective of that, not any can deny the sequence of events leading up to this point. The words speak for themselves and not any can deny the truth. Furthermore, there was no mention made as to the obscene, harassing vulgarities used by Deadds and one other. This is truly at the heart of the matter.
It's time to move on.
The statements you reported are not over the line. Again, let's just agree what we have here is a disagreement on how the transaction should take place and that it's not going to happen. It is both the sellers or buyers prerogative not to consummate a deal prior to any exchange of funds if they feel uncomfortable.
Thank you very much. Place yourself in my position and how would you react to someone (unknown to me) telling me to send them a cashiers check, m.o. , or check; and a check requiring 10 days to clear! Would you be willing to send out the funds under those conditions. You make mention that he is well known on the Classic Oldsmobile forum, yet his words speak volumes. There is no courtesy on his/her part, rather seeking to amass more money in charging 4% whereas even the business people charge 3%. Well, he can take that part to his grave.
I think we're done here and you need to find the part elsewhere.
It takes 10 days for banks to clear funds, sometimes less, I see no problem with the seller holding the item until then. On the other hand, you expect the seller to ship an item prior to being paid in the hopes that you don't file a claim and he gets his money days after you receive it. Bottom line, these transactions are all about trust for both parties.
I think we're done here and you need to find the part elsewhere.
