Just an FYI - the axle assembly date is "G17" taken from the diff case cover. This would make the axle assembly date July 17, 1969. Thanks for looking!

assuming the cover wasn't swapped from one housing to the other.

your third pic, there is a julian date right above the casting number for the housing

Your correct, the diff case casting date is 149 or May 29, 1969. The dates of the diff case casting, gear (569 = May 1969) and the axle assembly date of G17 = July 17, 1969 are all in line with each other. While you can never say never, it seems somewhat unlikely that this cover was swapped. Thanks for your interest.
