Lots of Olds parts for sale

I used to be big into Olds when I was in college. I had several including my fav which was my 87 442

Anyway, long story short, I sold them all off years ago. I sold most of my extra parts like blocks, heads, cranks and transmissions as well.

I was going through the shop the other day and found these parts. If you guys want them, fine, if not them the trash man gets them.

All prices are shipped.

So, What's your point.... it doesn't mean you don't have to use caution just because he's registered on Face Book

That's pretty interesting being I don't have a stepdad. Even more interesting I never sold a crossmember and even more interesting that if you are in Chicago then that means you're really really far away from me so I guess that was one helluva drive for you because I don't ship heavy or large parts.

The ONLY issue I EVER had with an Olds member was a I think I 403 block that ended up having a different size lifter bores that was picked up LOCALLY and i distinctly remember sending him not one but TWO money orders and after he claimed both were lost it refused to send another until after they were cleared as officially lost so i could get those funds back and send again.

Scammed? Never. Post threads. Police involved? Never ever and please prove it. Police reports and records are kept on file. Go get a copy and post it so we all can see it.

I posted these items because I used to be big into Olds. I know it is hard to find parts sometimes. However, I'm not broke and don't need to see. If i sell nothing I can promise they will end up all in the trash.

Lastly, im not even sure what IIRC is so i dont know how to even go there on that one.

88Hurst - what makes you think it's the same guy?
It would be helpful to know your reasoning and / or sources.
Thanks,

That's nice and all but all I see was a thread about an intake that got shipped really late and someone pissed about me not continuing to send money orders (again, after I had sent TWO already) and a whole lot of smack talk after I got shipped off to Korea.

So again and to clarify, one item shipped late and two money orders sent to make amends on the wrong lifter bore measured on a block.

Sorry I don't see anything wrong. If someone wants to call me names for refusing to send money orders after TWO were already sent then it is what it is. For all i knew back then both money orders were sitting on his desk. I'm not stupid either. Seems he failed to tell everyone one how little he paid for that very usable 403 block.

Either way and like I said before, dropping these parts in the trash won't hurt my feelings. I don't need them.

In fact, if a mod or admin doesn't feel comfortable with this thread then shoot me a pm or email saying you are going to remove it and I'll kindly donate everything to the trash this coming Thursday.

Hmmmmmmm...

I'm not the arbiter of anything, and I try to keep an open mind to BOTH sides of every story, but it doesn't look to me, after perusing the ROP boards, like Weedahoe is guilty of much more than being a bit sloppy with his shipping, and of having an unfortunate choice in screen names.

Looks to me like the major beef was from 5 years ago, for poor communication before a part finally arrived, and some confusion over a refund that ended up getting straightened out, and wouldn't have happened if they'd used PayPal.

I would also say that someone who intended to do wrong would probably resurface with a new screen name, and not reuse their old, extremely distinctive one.

At the same time this crap happend on Oldspower it was happening on some other bullshit car forum, I believe it was a HONDA CIVIC one... I don't remember the exact one(s) since I could give a Sh*t about you and have used my memory to store better information
Take a hike weasle, you aint foolin anyone...
They are proof of what?

What exact proof has anyone given of anything other than a part shipped late?

Someone says a police report was made? Post a copy. I challenge anyone to go get a copy and post it. Why? Because there never wad one because there was never a scam.

Never owned a honda so again youre wrong and dont know WTF youre talking about.

ANYONE who says they were scammed by me PLEASE come here and post and plead your case.

ANYONE was bought a part from me and didnt get it, please post up (and have a copy of your so called police report ready to post)

This is not proper sales etiquette on any level. If you do not trust transactions on line, then don't buy on line.

When payment is made, cost for parts and shipping should be paid.
Then shipping occurs . . . not vise-versa.

To assure proper transactions, buyers need to establish a system that protects them from scammers and the purchase of parts that are not what they had expected. . . .

IE:
1) Do not pay by money transfer.
2) Establish good communication with the seller.
3) Obtain full name, address and phone #.
4) Call the seller to confirm.
5) Ask lots of questions about WHAT you are buying and CONDITION.
6) Realize that used parts are just that . . . USED!! Do not expect NOS quality. IF you want NOS, buy NOS.
7) Be understanding that most guys on line do NOT sell for a living. They are selling parts they don't need . . . however they obtained them . . . to benefit those who may need them and have not found or do not wish to try to find the parts they need locally.

And others . . . perhaps we should make a sticky with suggested etiquette for buying and selling on line.

I'll ship all 4 tubes and sticks and all 3 timing covers with the new front seal for 60. I'm not trying to get rich. If someone can use these then great.
