A large assorted collection of 1958 thru 1961 a/c compressors
A large assorted collection of 1958 thru 1961 a/c compressors for sell as a lot for $2,000????.
I think all divisions are there and there are over 50 compressors. These would easily sell for $600 with a paint job and new labels.
This is the perfect starter lot for someone who wants to get into the GM a/c compressor rebuilding service. I can tell you how to rebuild these un-rebuildable compressors plus there are the uncommonly available used shaft seals, a few nos seals, partial brackets, pulleys, bearings, clutches, miscellaneous parts if one were to just part them out.
These are located in the north Dallas 75056 area

I will fix one up for you for $800 and warranty it 90 days plus I will bench test compression and clutch operation in a 48 hour non-stop pre-ship test. Just need need to know the type of "freon" you will be using so I can put the correct oil in the compressor.
Warranty requires both new suction and discharge filters to catch and trap the 60+ years of gunk that flushing never gets plus pro installation. This protects you and me from poor a/c installation practices and helps ensure factory like environment for longer trouble free operation.
Warranty does not cover seal leakage. The seals leaked when new at general rates of one pound a year which helps explain the large factory receiver/filters.
Remember that factory warranties back then were 90 days to 12 months.
The seals will leak even more as most a/c cars are not used daily or at least weekly to keep them well oiled like when they were new and setting unused over the winter is even harder on a/c cars.
