L-69 intake complete found in barn.

Cleaning up the barn and found this. Did some research since i'm a Ford guy and it seems to be correct.

I'd imagine it has been sitting 30 plus years.

Really not sure on price but wanted to let you die-hard Olds guys take a peek at it first. Realistically I think 4k is fair from what i've seen.

If you need and more detailed pics please feel free to email me and i'll take as many as you need.

Will consider Ford small block parts in trade as well.

Just for your own reference, CO member @6844268 also has an L-69 setup for sale at the same price but his is fully restored with very low runtime.

Price id dependent on the carbs condition. If they are frozen there's a good chance the throttle plates and the bases are pitted. The linkage is incorrect, the fuel filter assy.. & the oil tube is missing.. It's either a AU or AZ manifold by the coil mount position. It would be more valuable if you could get the carbs off and see what condition they are in. I might be interested with more info. PM me with details.

Took our last AU manifold off last year on our 67-442 car and trak pak it, I had that AL manifold in the early 1990s i have personally seen 3 of those AL manifolds long long time ago, also i go way back with Kurt Anderson, and don Hendricks..

I understand that but why do you think that manifold could be an AL? I also go way back with Curt & Don and have owned probably 50 setups myself.

As I posted before I saw the AU picture I could tell it wasn't an AL manifold. The AL had the coil mount boss in the back down low and they moved the AU & AZ coil mount boss to the top beside the rear carb.

Meh, all I said was I could tell from his original picture that it had to be an AU or AZ. Then you said that it could be an AL too & I said it couldn't be an AL. I just like to get things right and help guys learn.

I found one of these a year back, mine was a little cleaner and I sold it for 2800, it needed to be rebuilt as well. So my opinion ifyou want to sell it is the 2500-2800 range. As 66 3x2 says if the carbs are froze up then quite a bit less.

Took carbs off any they move freely. I have been getting some really insulting offers on this so at this point i'll take 2300$ or something close. Pretty sure a factory intake is worth more than some china re-pop.

Since your so insulted you should post pics of the rusted out , crust caked carb base plates, cracked carb top pics I saw and let the market dictate the price then. Obviously you know little about carb restoration. Its like anything else, if you start with quality your way better off than starting with badly abused and weathered parts that may or may not even be usable. Clean it all up, open up the carbs, post pics of insides so folks can see exactly what they are buying then you may get better offers. Showing a pic of rusted out base plates and crudty carbs leaves anyone with speculation on are these carbs restorable without lots of new body parts? Just a thought

I still haven't seen pictures of the bases and throttle plates. If those are pitted and they will not seal making them useless. Not sure who has insulted you but pictures would help your cause.

Wasn't even directed to the two of you. It's the 400$ offer from someone else.

Evasive? I've posted plenty of pics, took carbs off and posted more pics. Really not sure what else you need? You tell me.

Evidently you can't read for comprehension. You never posted pictures of the critical parts-the throttle bores and the throttle plates. If they are pitted then they won't seal and that's critical on those carbs. One of the airhorns looks like it's cracked. Does that give you enough to go on?

You said you found this in a barn, I think anyone would assume that means you’re into it $0. How is making $400 insulting? If you think it’s worth more than what you are being offered, keep it, that’s what I do.

If you want to sell it post good pics, be reasonable. You didn’t find the holy grail. Its a tricarb set up. Super cool, yea. But must be in decent rebuildable condition to sell. And you still haven’t posted pics here. The offer I gave you with the info I had ( which was minimal and not pretty) was more than fair. No i am not the 400.00 dollar guy.
you can get all uppity or be smart about this.. your choice

Totally agree with this. There are definitely not enough pictures or information on this tricarb setup it. When you consider what the original poster is asking for he should be willing to do additional pictures of the requested type. When I got my tricarb setup with the manifold chrome, I traded a 650 Holley Double Pumper for it because they guy thought he would get better mileage with it. After we traded I once again told him about the tricarb setup but he said it was over his head lol.

Selling something like this you need to show every angle etc. Pictures don't cost money. The more pictures you provide the more questions are already answered. Especially when you want good money. Personally I would provide as many pictures as possible. Just makes sense.

Good pics protect both the buyer and the seller. Be careful, I took a guy's word on some valve covers on this site and learned my lesson.

While I understand the concern with discerning value of rare parts, the seller is free to ask whatever he wants and a buyer should perform their due diligence prior to purchasing. At this point, if your not interested in purchasing this item please do not comment. Classifieds are not discussion threads.
