Why did you say it was "matching numbers"?

The main case, side cover, front bearing retainer, and tail shaft have casting numbers with some of them having date codes casted into them. Therefore, renduring the transmission as a "matching number unit" if all components are original.

Yes. Everything on the Muncie is correct to it, making it a numbers correct unit and not pieced together out of a bunch of different transmissions.

A freshly rebuilt one,with all the correct pieces,and the premium parts,will run about $2500.00. If you aren't concerned with numbers,you can get one built with the stronger Auto Gear case parts,and spend slightly less.
