Notice that there is a inline connector to allow the this option to be installed.
I think the dash harness was like this for the Twilight Sentinel option. If you want to add this to an Olds originally without this option, you'll have to modify the harness by the light switch.
I tested this years ago and it worked, but have not tested it recently.
