Front air dam for 68-72 Cutlass 442.

This particular one came from a 69 S I parted sometime back.
It will need a staple or two. All mounting holes are in excellent
shape and no cracks anywhere. $75 + the ride.

You sure it's a 68 air dam? That's for 1971/72 for sure. I restored mine back in 2012. Here's the link, it also has a closeup of the same part number you're quoting.

Al, I'm sure it has been replaced from over the years then.
The car had been sitting in front of an old man's hse for 15 yrs.
One of those, 'I'm gunna fix it up', me,'ok see ya next year'.
It's been parted for 6 years. Man, I sure would've like to had a camera
back then. This S was identical to my 442 interior wise. Touhs. trqs. with
a white vinal top. The 442's top had rust holes so I got the S's.
Off white interior w/buckets & console, a/c, sweet.
Sorry for the rambli'n guys. Ok, back to work. Clearing out stuff, and ya'll
need some pics...

Bruce, I don't know if there is any difference for the 68. This one came from a 69 S.
I couldn't find the # in my parts book. It is identical to the one for my 69 442.

Just for information

I hand marked this one "1968" years ago. The main plastic section is embossed 398171. I think there should be 2 side extensions, but one is lost. The remaining side plastic piece is embossed 400535 LH.

More good info Bill, thank you. I have never seen those 'ears' on one before.
My guess is that stray cats, dogs or rocks may have removed them earlier in life.

And just in case anyone cares the ears (wings) are eliminated if you have OAI in 68 and, I assume 69
