Starfire Sport Steering Wheel

Starfire wheel. Part number 9758389. Its red with the stitching molded into the wheel. Horn button is clear, BUT I think I see a tiny crack in the top of the Rocket. It will probably need a new horn mechanism underneath. Comes with the hub. Not sticky, but she's stained/dirty. I wiped it down with SEM vinyl prep cleaner and its not coming off.

$100

75-80 Starfire and Omega. Last one of these I cleaned up took lacquer thinner to cut the crud off, and I don't think it all came off then. I stopped before it dissolved the graining.

Odd. The book listed PN 9758391 for those cars. Didn't they change to the two spoke wheel with the pentagon shaped horn button for the late 70's? The hub and horn button are eerily close to the late 60s early 70's style. I'm gonna have to see if there is a PN on the horn button..

78-81 Cutlass and 77-79 full-size used that two-spoke wheel. "Stitched" four-spoke was H Starfire and Omega. Non-stitched was 70-77 Cutlass.

The "soft rim" wheels showed up in 1969. Before then they were color-molded plastic or painted hard rubber. Now, had you had a real woodgrain plastic 64-66 Starfire sport wheel, I would probably be on my way to SC to pick it up about now!

Fair enough.. Just confused as to why the P/N doesn't show up in the book. I'll edit the title and probably never sell it.. LOL
