Do you have a set of stock #5 heads for a '68 Cutlass?
I got 3A and 7A heads ..which are better for the 350.. I heard 7A lower compression but got small valves.. can I open them up by myself or need to take em to a machine shop.. it's not a racing motor just gonna put good flowing heads that lower compression and a good cam lifters and intake ect
I think that you are totally confused . First of all, this is a "Parts for Sale" thread; not a performance discussion forum. That being said, the 3A heads are for later model engines, with 1/2" head bolt holes. They would also lower your compression relative to the 7A heads. Why you want to lower your compression is beyond me, if you are looking for more performance. Any further discussion should be addressed in the "Small Block Performance Forum".
