If I were you, I'd put an add in the parts wanted on this site and on Realoldspower.prophpbb.com. just make sure your 1966 D block is a 45 degree. The 3 1967 D blocks I have are all 39 degree. I'm pretty sure you can get a new 45 degree camshaft but you'd probably be doing someone a favor by buying one their not going to use plus save yourself some money. Good luck.

that's for the Erson cam 45* dba ? It's going in my 66 olds 425 , I've been looking all over the place trying to find one. I've been dragging this motor for years and I finally decided to rebuild it and couldn't find the cam . You'ed be helping me out a lot if it does fit. Thanks

I don't think there was ever an air gap manifold made in the square bore configuration. Spread bore, yes, but square bore??

Ya know , I've got a 455 Olds F block and 425 Olds D block sitting in my garage and I was thinking , what if I took that 425 steel forged crank, rods (6.351) and pistons from the 455 (new forged pistons) and put it all in the 455 block . Are the cranks compatible with each other? They would have to be machined I know, but could it work.

NO, you have to swap everything in the rotating assembly. Crank, rods, and pistons as a unit. Blocks are compatible. The 425 will use the big lifters and the 455 uses the small ones. I will send your cam Monday.

You have to use all the 425 internals in the 455 block. It will still be a 425., it all will bolt right in.
the air gap intake will work on either block.
the main use of the 455 block is the easy pick of cams.

Only the Toronado 425 used the 0.921" "big lifters". Is your 425 D block "big lifters?"
