Which one do you have? The '70 had a different blower fan tube to direct the air to the diffuser than the 71-72. A 71-72 model can be used on the 70, but not the other way around, if I remember. Do you have all the pieces including the wiring?

This is interesting in that I never knew there was a rear window defroster for a convertible. What does it look like and where/how does it mount? I have '68 and '69 convertibles and I don't think there was a rear window defroster option for those convertible years. Was it first offered in the 1970 model year?

I have one in my 71 convertible. I took a picture through the back window, sorry it is not a better picture.
The other picture shows a 70 defogger and a 71-72 defogger.

Thanks for the pics, I never knew this was an option for convertible cars. Does the defroster motor mount behind the back seat, next to the power top pump motor? Is it just a fan or does it have a heating element as well?

Rodney,
No heat, it uses the air from the cabin of the car. No, It fits between the rear seat divider.

That is interesting. Never knew such an option existed for convertibles.

That looks even less effective than the hardtop car ones, and those were pretty bad.
