C heads (cores) factory 455 rods

I have a set of C heads I am not able to invest what It will take to put them back in shape. Will need new guides and seats. Whoever did last head job didn't have a clue exhaust seat overlaps intake seats. Also have original 455 rods they have been destressed and polished on sides. Will need arp rod bolts and resizing of course. Anyone needs them just make offer plus shipping can provide pics if needed by text or email

Could you post a picture of the valve seats? The factory 2.07 intakes are really close to the exhaust valve. Attached are a couple photos of the large valve heads. It would be next weekend before I had the time, but I could take some closeup photos if it would help you verify if yours really are bad or not. John

valve seats

told by machine shop pretty bad. fixable but expensive around here quoted 1400 for guides and seats since seats may be crooked

looks like whoever did heads may have installed new exhaust seats and cut wrong? they all run into intake. don't know if could just be recut correctly and be ok or have to replace again.

Can you post a picture with the valves in the seats? Have you checked the size of the valves? Maybe some one set this up for bigger exhaust valves.
