Bucket Seat Pair - 69-72 Abody GM
Bucket Seat Pair - 69-72 Abody GM
I have an extra pair of '69-72 GM Abody bucket seats as follows (came out of a '70 GS):
>Complete with (or without) nice original black headrests
>Nice original seat tracks (have some of the typical surface rust on them as these were left bare by the factory)
>Black seat plastics still on them. The seatBACK plastics are a bit dry in areas (w/the usual scuffs, etc) but the lowers may be just fine. All of the plastics could be cleaned and painted for driver type use but a show car would likely need replacements for at least the upright seatback pieces.
>Still have covers and original sublayers, foam, etc on them but the covers, while intact, appear to be a local upholstery shop madeup set (likely done many years before repro covers came out). Foams are "dead" but I may have some decent original used seat foams around if someone wanted to entertain using those. For a show car/full resto....get new foams.
>The undersides of the buckets appear pretty clean w/the typical surface rust on the bare metal springs....do not look to be real "crusty" type springs.
These are "complete" and still assembled and a great starting point for a restored bucket seat set. ORIGINAL GM parts.....so no "hard to slide" repro seat tracks (saw that on one repro seat track recently...typical repro manufacturing junk tolerances), no need for terrible repro bucket seat spring sets, etc.
POSSIBLE delivery to the OCA Nats in Indy this summer but would require full or partial pre-payment (part of which will be a NON-refundable deposit).
Shipping would be extra and would also add my boxing material costs....likely shipped in 3-4 boxes (one box for each bucket, one box for headrests, one box for seat tracks possibly). I ship via Pirate Ship so my rates are much better compared to "retail" UPS and Fedex.
$1,200 + shipping/packaging materials costs. Slightly less w/out headrests.
Won't pull them out and take pics unless there is some serious interest. Can also discuss pricing if it is a "deliver at the Nats" deal.

Also - I can provide proper sub-layers for the seats as well along w/a plethora of other options at extra cost (ie - want the seat tracks restored?, want them torn down, media blasted bare and put in catalyzed epoxy?, need various correct hardware?, want sub-layers installed, etc)....PM to discuss.
