72 350 & TH350 Trans for sale
I have a 72 350 rocket & transmission for sale. Everything must go as quickly as possible.
$125 obo for the motor. It ran when I purchased the care but I decided to upgrade to a big block. I would recommend a rebuild and complete run through of the motor.
$75 obo for the TH350 transmission. May need a new pan as i believe it may have bent when I removed it.
Everything must go as quickly as possible. I'm located in Columbus, Oh. Will drive to meet within a 2 hour time frame. I also have a few extra pulleys, fender wells, and hooker headers for a 350-$75.
Send me a pm w/email address if you would like to have some pics.

Eric,
Its funny you ask!!!! lol! I installed my heads about around the beginning of August. My neighbor had finally got his motor running, rear end changed and ready to roll. Come to find out, the machine shop that assembled his bottom end made some mistakes. Being that we are building hi-performance engines, we don't seem to beleive that the clearances were correct. We pulled his motor on Monday and tore it down yesterday and found that the majority of the main bearings and rod bearings had began to wipe out. From what i've learned thus far, it could be to the clearances not being correct for the mains bearings, rod bearings, pistons, or possible the crank not being balanced correctly. Lucky for me, i haven't completed my motor so I'm going to disasseble my motor, get a new gasket kit and take it back to the machine shop once I can get the correct hi performance specs for the application i'm putting together. Most people have been going off of the Mondello Tech manual. So the only thing I'll be out of would be a new set of hi-performance bearings, labor, and a new gasket kit. My neighbor is considering new crank, connecting rods, push rods, and lifters. We did find metal shavings in the bottom of the oil pan once we disassebled.
So needless to say, its still a work in progress!!! lol! If you know of any reputable hi-performance guys that can provide some insite, please send them my way!!!

its times like these that make me wonder where the original motor from my car is at..... if the block pad has K...... let me know... that would be awesome if I actually found the original motor for my car , but probably long gone.
