Here is a very nice "restored" original '71/2 TVS unit.
>Started out as a very clean piece....not rusty, corroded, pitted on the upper steel shell, etc
>Upper steel housing stripped/cleaned, catalyzed epoxy primed and painted to emulate the gold dichromate finish.
>Upper housing black plastic part is super nice....not dried out, cracked or chipped - still the nice shiny original black plastic and clean.
>Middle diecast section also superb - wasn't all corroded, etc prior to refinishing and no corrosion pitting in the metal. All the lettering, manufacturer name, patent number, etc on this part is superb as well and super legible....no deterioration. Vacuum hose connections perfect...not smashed or bent, same thing w/the overall body of the unit where it is crimped onto the lower brass portion....not cocked over from rough removal, etc.
>Lower brass wrench flat area is very nice - Absolutely no rounding off from wrenches, etc and date code (8H71) is perfect and extremely legible.
