You know anybody coming to Florida for Thanksgiving? I'm interested in the hood, but most shipping options are nervous-making.

Hello.

Is this an original OAI hood? Does it have the hood pin assemblies and/or hood springs?Do you have an OAI air cleaner?

Thanks,
Anthony

Original hood from a Rallye 350. Do have the hood hinges. Cleaner is gone.

Steven, thanks for replying.
Let's see if that will work. I'll help pay for your gas - that 'burban can suck down the petrol! I'm near Jacksonville, near Gainesville. I'm about an hour from I-95 and about 45 minutes from I-75, in North Central Florida. I'm talking with Justin (ManCutty) and he'll be working with Scott (packrat) on other shipping options. Scott and I have had multiple previous dealings with all good outcomes.

I have pictures of a crate that I built when I sold one of my hoods. It worked out great.Nice and stiff,no twist or flex.
On the other hand,I just sold a 2001 Suburban, and I fit a hood in it,barely. It took some skill, but it went through the back.Problem is you'll be riding by yourself because the seats will be down.Do NOT strap that to the roof.It gets more wind than you may think.I know of a perfect OAI hood that ended up a scattered puzzle, after it took flight on a highway, and it was tied-down.

I thought if it was crated and we strapped it to the roof it would be ok. I'll have a car full so if it can't go on the roof its not going with me. On the other hand maybe we can strap it to the hood for the "cool hot rod" suburban look

Steven,
Ditch the Suburban, drive the W30 to indy with no hood, & we'll install this one for the ride down south!

Pix of hood for all to enjoy!!!

Some one has filed/ground down the rear metal & fiberglass lip for some reason, all the way across the back of the hood. It's been several months since I've seen it, but I think you could still install the trim piece. Also the frame is coming loose from the top along the back.

Hood tooth is gone.

The latch area is a little pitted.

Thanks, Scott. Still interested (first in line?). Will probably use this one on my Rallye and move its hood to the W30 project.
