70 to 72 floor shift speedos

I didn't realize how of these I had so like everything else time to go. There are a total of 4 floor shift speedometers 3 - 1970 and 1 - 1971/1972
They are interchangeable except 1970 had red lens for high beam and 71 had a blue lens otherwise the same. Some lenses are nicer than others all pins are circuit boards are intact.

3 speedos have been sold with one 1970 remaining with cleaned lens on the 2nd one

$35.00

1970 Cutlass had red high-beam indicator until January 1, 1970. After that it had blue indicator.

Not true. I have 4 70 cars 2 built in March and 2 in April all have red high beam. 3 Lansing cars and one Fremont car the change was for the 71 model year.
2 of those cars have never been touched low mile survivors. I hope this info clears this up.

You bring up a good point. My experience is with 3 Lansing cars from 1970. The other plants may have had different changeover times.

My January 6 and March 12, 1970 cars had blue lenses. My December 2, 1969 car had a red lens.

I read, years ago, about a changeover in mid-year 1970.

How didn't someone buy all these for 130? That is one hell of a deal. Fools asking for a grand here for carpet lint.

Honestly I thought about it. I only have one car though so the rest would be back up for sale. I figured if the OP wanted to do something nice and sell good parts at a great price I probably shouldn’t take advantage of that.
