70-72 AM/FM Radio
I have for sale the original AM/FM radio out of my old 72. The prior owner removed the radio for a aftermarket tape radio. I had plans on putting this back in but sold the car. I had the radio cleaned and polished and looks fantastic. Was told when I bought the car the radio worked they just wanted to run their cassette tapes and cd's. I am asking $300.00 + shipping (no i will NOT combine shipping in the sale price) These are hard to find in this shape. Please PM me if your interested.

Well after waiting over a week to set up a pick up/ drop off of the radio to the sell and driving over a hour 1 way to meet them up they pulled out of the sale (even thought we have a recorded history of a agreed sale). SO the radio is still for sale. I was going to take $275 for the radio but am open to offers + shipping. I will not drive anywhere to meet someone that has no intentions of buying or doing anything again.

By the looks of it I would say it is a non stereo for 1971-72...You say its out of your 72 but was it original to the car? I have pulled out a few in the past that were not original to the car they were in...

A few details on theses radios. The AM-FM mono radio was only offered in 72. Both the same looking radios were offered in 70, 71 and 72, however, they were stereo only in 70 and 71 and the 70 unit was two piece. Those stereo radios were very expensive, so the mono version offered FM at a cheaper price. I have one of each in my 71s, and there is no comparison in sound, as you would expect.
