69 4 speed quadrajet 7029253

1969 7029253 Manual Trans quadrajet 0935 service replacement date. Missing choke pull off but everything else operates well. Inlet threads are in great shape. Everything moves freely. I’m sure it needs a rebuild. $100 plus shipping

Besides the year designation, do you the what the differences are between the 7029253 carburetor and a 7040253?

I know the 7029253 doesn’t work with an electric choke

Apparently there are two main differences.

As Mike noted, the 1969 carb uses a divorced choke, the 1970 carb uses an integral choke.
Both used .072 primary jets, but the 1969 carb used 7034849 (.049) primary metering rods while the 1970 carb used 7040699 (.048 triple taper) metering rods
Both used 7033655 (AU) secondary metering rods

Thanks Joe. Was thinking along the lines of using a '69 stick carburetor on my '70 stick 442 since having hard time trying to find a correct and reasonably priced 7040253 carburetor. With the information you supplied, that idea is out the window.
