68 cutlass 442 trunk molding

Here is a refurbished and repainted trunk molding for cutlass/442s but not convertibles. Two studs on the rear have been replaced. In great shape. The photos here show every inch of the front and back. $250 plus shipping. I will ship this in a pvc pipe for protection. If interested, Pm me your zip code for a shipping quote.

If I may ask - how did you replace the studs?

I have a 1968 "rookie" question, it's supposed to be silver in the center? Mine is polished chrome across and the same for the two ends? Is it supposed to be grille silver?

On the 68s the molding originally came from the factory with this silver/ aluminum paint on it which matches the headlight plastic housings in the front. They painted right over the chrome which doesn’t hold the paint over 50 years. Most cars you’ll see it has completely worn off.
Some people like the completely chrome look.
