68?-72 A-Body CONVERTIBLE Rear Armrests - Nice and rebuilt

EDIT/ADD: SOLD

Here is a pair of nicely rebuilt '68? - '72 GM A-body CONVERTIBLE rear armrests. Done and ready for installation of your vinyl covers.

>The factory left these in bare metal and many got rusty and pitted. These had some rust and pitting and I THOROUGHLY beadblasted them to clean metal and sprayed them w/multiple coats of a high quality epoxy primer/paint.

>I filled in three spots on each panel PRIOR to spraying the epoxy. Two are up top near the ashtray holes and a third larger factory-stamped depression is on the front vertical face of each panel. Filling these prevents unsightly depressions showing through in your vinyl covering over time as the panel board (black covering material you see in the pics) and upper jute material can "sink into" these areas.

>I cut and fit NEW panel board material for each armrest and they're tightly glued into place. The factory used a sort of compressed paper/board material as well but the original stuff is usually moldy and/or deteriorated. You need a NICE NEW smooth surface on these as the vinyl covers can take on the look of any underlying defects in the old panel board covering.
The panel boards are properly fitted and installed....not a short process. Mine don't have any wrinkles or "folds" in the black panel board material....those would make the vinyl covers possibly look bad.

>I show one white polyester batting/jute material piece in the pics....I'll cut and include another one and WILL INSTALL them at your request prior to shipping.

>All mounting holes are present in the panel board material as well as the reectangular cutouts for the courtesy lamp bezels.

The result here is a very nice set of rebuilt rear CONVERTIBLE armrests....save yourself (or your upholstery person) a lot of time and trouble. Many folks would just glue on a thin layer of foam over each entire panel......that won't give a factory look in the finished and installed product. These will.

Also for sale on another Abody site.

$150 + shipping. PM for payment details. Can provide more pics, etc.

I know this is an old thread, so am assuming these are long gone 😞
But is there any chance these are not sold, Patton?
