I have a late 68? and or 1969 Cutlass bumper jack for sale. Not sure since it says U1968-69 on the hook. There is no other date codes on the other parts. It has been bead blasted and repainted the hook has a new repo rubber bumper and Caution sticker.
The mast at one end and base both had some pitting (see pics) but overall nice shape, hook has no pitting, you won't be able to see the pitting anyways under the spare tire. Lug wrench is nice.
$125.00 + shipping PM if interested.
The cradle would be for a '69. Usually, at the low end of the side of the piece that moves up a down the mast (the side you have facing down), there will be a number and a letter. The number will indicate the model year (i.e., 8=1968, 9=1969) and a letter (A=January, B=February,...M=December; the letter "I" is skipped) to indicate the month of manufacture. BTW, nice restoration!
There is no letters or #'s stamped anywhere on the sliding mechanism. The lower rivet may have had something stamped on it at one time but it has some pitting on it and nothing readable just looks like pitting .
