The 67 400 uses a 390 intake and the 68/69 uses a 662 these are the last 3 digits on the casting #

At least a 70, has the spot for the choke tubes, and an EGR also, so later than 70.
Looks like a small block with the #16 up front? I bet Chris would know.

That definitely is not a J intake. Where the 16 is cast into that valley would be a "J". That is a late model 350 small block intake for a smog motor.

J Intake

Ok-STOP - It has a 1" high "J" cast into the first front valley. It is a J intake. Part number is 398662. There is NO EGR opening-- that opening is for the carb choke. Look it up please
Application is 68-69 400 V-8--that is what it was removed from.....

What you have pictured is not a J sir.

This is a 68-69 398662 J intake. Note the pocket for the divorced choke & no EGR port.

Intake

D-uh-oh!!-- You are right-- sorry. I will post the correct pix tonight.
Application (I read it on the internet so it must be true) for the intake I have is 398662 intake code J --- 68 69 400/455 all except Tornado-- including W-30.
Will post correct pictures

"398662 intake code J --- 68 69 400/455 all except Tornado-- including W-30."

The other RWD 68-9 intake is the super elusive J-405233 used on only '69 H/O's.

btw, that seems to me like a pretty good price for a J intake. If I didn't already have one, I would be taking advantage of that offer.
