'67 4-4-2 400 "E" Bare Block-Needs Bored
This is a bare block that needs cleaning and boring.
This engine was in good running condition, but smoked, when removed many years ago.
The short block was stored under a work bench
where a leak in the roof allowed water to stand in a couple of cylinders.
I didn't realize the cover on the block had slipped off.
It needs boring only because of my own negligence in not making sure it stayed covered.
I've already acquired a new set of 350 rings and pistons.
I'd like $250. for the block and $400. for the pistons/ring kit for a total of $650.
Not making money on this. Just want to get my money back.
(Price is firm as I'll use it myself rather than lose money on it.)
Just bought the piston/ring kit within the last month because it was on sale.
Not junk. These are Speed Pro forged aluminum pistons and Hastings moly rings.
I originally planned to get it done and use it in one of my own cars.
If it doesn't sell I'll still use it myself, but,
I really don't need to since I have rebuildable "E" blocks.
If needed, I also have the standard crankshaft
which may need to be turned .010", but, also may polish out.
