only chevy 396's had the qj in '65, olds and pontiac switched in '66 across the board. only buick 401's retained the 4G, along with all of cadillac for '66. the other buick engines used qj's for 4-bbl carbs. '65-'67's qj's had several "bugs" to be worked-out.

You mean like those funky diaphragm float valves that could unexpectedly leak and pour fuel all over the engine?
That wasn't a bug, it was a feature!
I'm still waiting to find out what makes this 4GC with postage-stamp-sized photographs "rare."

yeah, the toilet valve and the $h!tty well plugs. the fixes sucked too.
that was the patty melt series...
the running production change for the toilet valve was mid-'66 model year.
