455ci Oldsmobile Motor

I pulled this beauty out of a 1970 Vista Cruiser. The car ran fine. No noises, ticks, rattles, or knocks.

It is a mid seventies motors and not the original 1970 455 that came with the car.

$1200.00 for the engine, Air Breather to oil pan. Just drop it in and enjoy.
I'll even include the T400 transmission

The motor is located in Birmingham Alabama

Ask what you want, it's your motor. I think the going rate for a 455 is about 450-600. I was looking around for one before I got mine. I pd 500 delivered to my garage door. Complete air cleaner to oil pan including all accessories belts brackets AC etc. running motor.
Now, if it was freshened up and dressed up/painted etc or has been modified, well that's different.
I'm not insulting you, just trying to help a little so 20 yrs from now you're not wondering why you still have this motor. Again, it's yours, you ask what you want...take care

Are you making a offer? If not , then I would question what your intention is. Bottom line is, if he is priced to high, then it might not sell. I'm sure the seller will figure it out on his own.

Sometimes I really love the comments posted on these threads and at other times I really don't understand why people even chime in at all.

I have had several offers well above the price you say you can get one for.
Do I think this motor is a great deal. No! I posted a price to see if I had any bites. But I guess you want to ensure this ad becomes a failure because it is obvious your are concerned about me and my future. This is why you posted your comment so everyone would see just how smart you are instead of sending a discreet PM with suggestions.

Thanks a million for all of your help.

PS: I am sure the motor will be gone within six months to a local buyer. I doubt that I get $1200 but I am sure I'll get more than $500.00. Historically speaking I have gotten $500.00 for every running Rocket 350 I have sold, and $300 for rebuildable cores.

Again, Thanks
