442 Front Sway bar

One inch front sway bar pulled from a southern car. Looks really nice.

Pictures upon request (I'll try to post some this weekend as well)

$65.00 plus shipping

FYI, if you are talking about the 64-72 cars, the only ones that got a 1" front bar were the Vista Cruisers in 68-72. The 442s only got a 31/32" bar (and smaller than that in earlier years).

Thats good to know.
I'm going to measure them all now.
I did part out a Vista Cruiser and a car with the sport suspension.

Thanks

Yeah, I was surprised by this when I discovered it years ago. I actually put a VC front bar on my 68 442 back in the late 70s. The "butt G-meter" told me it was an improvement.

Good idea.
I might do the same on my 1970 since I still have the sway bar.

Thanks

Frankly, it's probably easier to find a 1.25" front bar from a second-gen Trans Am.

True. Those tend to be on the more expensive side though.

The Trans Am front bar is 1 1/4" for the early ones up to '75 and 1 1/8" after that IIRC. The contours are the same and they fit. I have one on my '72 442. You may need custom brackets to install it to the frame.

I used the stock T/A mounts when I installed the one on my 70 conv. You have to use allen head bolts for clearance.
