Driveshaft
My 66 had a two piece driveshsft with one half slid into the other half joined by rubber. Reduced vibration I guess. Ive never seen a 68-72 Abody with that design, think they dropped it. A driveshaft from a Turbo 350 car is longer than one from a Turbo 400 car since Turbo 400 trans is longer. The longer driveshaft can be used in manual trans cars. Before installation it should be checked for straightness and balance at a driveline xhop.
Thx and sorry but I should be more clear: I know the diff between solid and two piece, I thought the front yoke for TH350 and man trans are same, the yoke for a TH400 is bigger. When Joe asked about 10 bolt I got confused because I thought all were same where they mate to rear diff besides the U-joint? regardless of 10 or 12 bolts on cover. Joe said 10 bolt axle not cover.
I always thought a solid drive shaft from 70 auto or man trans would fit a 71-72 of the same regardless of rear end?
I may need to be educated on this......

My '68 came w/ the 2-pc driveshaft w/ the rubber coupling. It was originally a Jetaway / Type-O (now 200-4R / Type-O).
