So I had a broken four-speed battery tube and I bought a new one and it came and it's a plastic tube nothing like the original. So I made some new ones out of Industrial paper grade Garolite tube exactly like the originals. Mine on the left, original in the center, and Thanks Brandon

I'm changing to 4 speed eventually and if you could reproduce the bracket that would be awesome. Interested in the tube but what are your thoughts on the bracket?
Well I guess this is more for the people that have a broken stock tube or have bought an in-line tube and don't want the plastic one. Maybe they would sell just the metal part I don't know.
As Brandon notes, the Inlinetube product is a joke
I recently had to order one from them and was really disappointed in the plastic tube. The look is completely off from the OEM design. I ordered 2 each as soon as I saw this.
InLine has the brackets by themselves, which with a cursory look I thought they were pretty good. But what were they thinking when they reproduced the tube in that manner?
I received mine and am amazed at the quality. It's just like I remember from my 1970 442 back in the before-time. Good job, Brandon. Would that all vendors of reproduction items took such care.
I am, but i didnt have one, so im waiting on measurements from a member. than i will get to work. Ive parted dozens of cars and i have two auto cars here and i cant find a single tube. Ill get them going as soon as i get the measurements.
Tim unfortunately I have no use for an automatic tube as my One car does not run a stock wiring harness and my other car is being converted to a four-speed. Your best bet is to sell your original automatic one if it's really nice. Thanks Brandon
