Just to add:
It also fits and is correct for 1984 models with maple interior and sport wheel up through sometime in mid-December 1983 production. They switched over to the bigger hub with the silver halo ring at some point right before Christmas 1983. Still working on the elusive VIN break point, but it was early. (they also changed over to the dual sheave PS pulley around that time too for the VIN 9 307).

GLWS!

Here is mine from my 84 with 40 years of wear. You would think the my hub would fit right on. Any other 83 H/O parts? Thanks

Your car was built after 12/15/83, so it wouldn't be techincally correct for your car. But since it's so customized away from stock, it probably won't make any difference. Horn caps will not interchange, so you'd be stuck with the smaller cap.

I do not believe the hub is any larger. The later 84 cap goes over the top of the hub and wheel frame.

84 cap on an 83 wheel

I tried installing the 84 cap on my 83 wheel. It just does not want to go on.

Hello my name is Darvin. I’m restoring a 83’ Oldsmobile Cutlass Hursts Olds and was wondering if the steering wheel was still available?
