1975 Delta 88 rear defogger, blower type, works, switch messed up.

I pulled this from a 4 door '75 Delta 88 a few months ago. I thought by 1975 all cars would have had the electric grid on the glass & at first thought someone retrofitted this from an earlier year car. But when I removed the fan I saw the date code on it, 6-75 & figured it had to be a factory installed piece. The switch is a bit loose & the motor does not work with the switch. But I put power to the back of the switch & the motor spins like it should.
One wire has been spliced, but will not be seen once installed. Like to get $25.00 for the whole set up plus shipping.

For whatever it's worth, that's a pretty universal defogger, used throughout the GM lines in the early '70s, so someone with a non-Olds or a non-B-body could use it, too.

Eric,
Thanks for the clarification, I should have added that. Do you also think it's odd that they did not use the electric grid by '75? I could see it maybe in a cheapo chevy, but an olds?

Maybe a bit odd, Scott, but not too much.

GM prized cost efficiency, and they were not about to start installing those fancy rear windows until they were darned sure they needed to (because of Federal regulations).
