1975 B platform parts

Just got a phone call to go pick up a 75 impala roller. A local guy bought it for the motor and trans and I'll probably buy the carcass from him if it's in halfway decent shape. He said the frame is getting a little soft.

Full size guys, get your parts lists together, and I'll keep you posted on the outcome. I don't want this thing still sitting on my driveway come snowfall. You guys get first crack before e-pay and the scrap yard.

Just got it home. It's a whole car minus engine and trans.

MDchanic.....it might just have the driveshaft you were looking for.

"Chassis" usually refers to the frame and associated mechanical components, minus the body.

If it's the body too, then more information, such as 2-door or 4-door, hardtop or post would be helpful to potential buyers.

Thanks, J!

Too late for the driveshaft I'm afraid — I got one from John in Oregon. Haven't really got a chance to test it out yet (car has been apart for ghetto paint job), but it seems to have done the trick.
I'll think about whether I need anything else.

It looks like this one. Except mine has 1/2" thick of bondo in the quarters. Similar color though.
Has the pointy bumper, and a ridiculously huge back quarter window with a vinyl top.

And ridiculously ugly. Never understood why Chevy Styling took those years Custom Coupes and Caprices in that direction. The Sport Coupe was a much cleaner look with its hardtop styling, C post and quarter glass that rolled down. Before y'all say I'm beating up on Chevy, Olds, Buick and Cadillac used that same styling treatment on the 74-76 C-body coupes and I didn't think much of it on them either. That thick-*** completely vertical B-pillar and skinny C-post just always jarred me. Bad proportions. And as huge as the quarter glass is, you look close you will see it is shorter top to bottom than the door glass, not following the natural styling flow, which throws the proportions off even more.

J, that rear greenhouse is gonna limit some of your sales specifically to the Chevy B coupe because none of that interchanges with BOP. Not even sure if the door glass will interchange. But, to your luck, the donk crowd likes these cars and are always looking stuff for them.

Well I was hoping to make use of it as a county fair derby car, but it was a rot box through and through. The only thing holding the rear posts and roof together was the vinyl top. I peeled it back and both posts were rotted to death.
I didn't want it throwing up parts that will never sell out here in the suburbs all over my driveway.

I just dropped it off at Dedsleds' shop by the city where it will be parted out more easily.

If you need anything, send him a PM.
