I built this for a 1951 Oldsmobile project and decided to go a totally different way. This was being built for my wife to drive and was done as good driver. Has been sitting in my shop for 5 years, under cover, and sealed up. It was prepped to sit for a while before being started; this engine has never been started. I see no reason that it would have any problems. Here is a list of how it sits today. Would be great for a Oldsmobile project car. No warranty… As is. Engine: Block casting # 395558 - 2 Heads casting # 8 Lower mileage Olds 350 with a total rebuild. Local machine shop did the lower end and refreshed the heads with harden seat for modern pump gas. Double row timing chain and gears High volume oil pump High volume Water pump with short shaft. RV cam. New Mallory Unilite Electronic distributor. New Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor . Long tube headers / cut down for clearance / one tube modified for steering box clearance . Edelbrock Aluminum intake / painted to match engine. New Harmonic Balancer Painted in 1950’s Olds Green Transmission: 350 Turbo Was rebuilt by a local shop. Stock, except for a shift kit.
Driveshaft with the later model yoke welded and balanced. Rear is stock 1951 Olds U-joint sized for a 4-door 98. Will give you something to work with for a shorted application. Have over $4,000 invested $2,500 cash or trade for vintage Motorcycle.
