1973-77 Cutlass/442 parts

While looking for other parts I'm tripping over items I've collected through the years I'll never use. Attached are a few photos, as I find more parts I'll add them to the thread. Price is $10 for one item, $15 for two, or talk with me if you want a package deal! Let me know if you need additional photos to evaluate the condition or if it fits your car.

I don't remember now if they came off the front or the back, and I also have a long metal piece that I believe was part of the front fillers. Here's a couple more pictures for you to check, if you do want them send me a pm with your shipping details. John

Hi Chuck
I think they're from a 1973 442. I do have the front fenders for both a 1973 442 and a 1974 Supreme, so I can see which one they match up to. Fenders are for sale too if your in need of front fenders. John

Hi Chuck
They're the rear pieces and they match the 1973 fender trim.

76cutlass, I've got some power steering pumps from earlier engines but it may be difficult to match what you have without knowing the codes on your water pump and crankshaft pullys. Can you locate the two letter codes on these other pullies? I can look through my pile next weekend, but if you've not created a parts wanted thread yet I'd encourage you to. Maybe someone else can come up with them sooner than I can. John

Hey John, Do you have any 73-77's w/ a console shifter, and if so, is the indicator (PNRDL) located up in the speedo? I know buicks of the same lineage with floor shift has the indicator in speedo. What I need is any pieces associated with this. Would also need the shift cable for a floor shift car(TH350).....thanks!

Hi Erik
The speedo head was blank and the gear selection was in the console with the shifter. I know I've got some console pieces and I think a shifter, but will have to dig around to see if I have a cable I'm sure is from this vintage. John

I've got the bumpers from a 1977 442, they're in good shape but probably weigh 100 pounds each. Purchase price would be $40 each to cover my time to ship them. Not sure, they may need to go freight. John

I took a look at the pictures of the 73 tail light housings. Just curious to know how good the condition of the bezel chrome is (looking to replace my pitted canadian chrome). I'm also looking for the Chrome grill mouldings for a 73 S. Darn canadian winters. Would you ship to Ontario?

I'll try to get some better pictures of the chrome trim. Sorry, I can't help with the grill trim. I have no problem shipping to our brothers North of the border John

Doc, I took several closeups of the chrome and posted them on my photobucket site. I didn't see any bumps in the chrome, but there are spider legs and tiny dots. The pass side does have one spot of damage and I took a couple photos of that from different angles. Let me know if these photos are adequate for you to evaluate them or if you'd like to see something else. John

I'm interested in the rear bumper from the 77 442. Is the inner filler in good shape? The one on my 77 Salon rotted out, and I need to replace the entire thing. Only need the rear one, as the front is good. What do you think it would cost to ship it to Indiana?
Money is a bit tight at the moment, so if you have the bumper in a few weeks, hopefully I can swing buying it. I've been needing one for this for some time. Freight would be the biggest cost.

Thanks,

87_442, I didn't get around to photographing the bumper this weekend. If you'd send me a reminder on Friday I'll try to get it next weekend. John

Adding Swivel Bucket bases. Maybe just parts as the seat buckets were badly rusted. Someone should have rolled up the windows

Same price as above, $10 for one or $15 for two items.

Saw a post from March that you have a pair of bucket seat bases for a '73 442. Any chance you still have them and want to sell? If so, is the swivel engagement tab still in place on the drivers side swivel? Let me know! Thanks!!

Yes I've still got them. I'll look and take some closeup photos for you this weekend.

OK, here's some pictures of what I believe is the drivers side. It's the right hand base in the pictures above. Let me know if you want to see anything else.

The only thing from your list may be the wiper motor. I've got several in a box, but didn't label them when pulled. I just knew I'd remember what that one came off of!

So if you have a bad one that could be used as an example I can look to see if I can match it. Man, a few years ago I couldn't give the 73-77 stuff away!

Have you checked out the 73-77olds.com site? Not as many members as here, but there's a lot of knowledge about this vintage on that site.

Here's what I came up with for console stuff. I'm sure I've got a shifter somewhere, just not sure where at the moment. Let me know if your interested in any of these pieces. John

OK, the consoles and these fenders are a little more expensive than the initial parts at $10 each! But if someone needs a set of 1973 442 fenders these are really clean! Price on these fenders would be $100 each plus shipping or $175 for the pair. I've also got a set of 1974 Cutlass Supreme fenders and header panel, although they're not as nice as these fenders.

OK! I need the fiber optic wire you held up and the black shift indicator lense in the console-GM kinda "melted" it in place and I had to use a dremel cut-off tool to free mine so I could try to repair the black foil piece and polish the clear lense-both ended up being no good. It may be better for me to buy the whole top console section so I can remove it-let me know what you want for the top console section and the fiber optic wire...if you take paypal, shoot me your paypal addy too! Thanks! Shipping is to Iowa, 50316. And yes, I could use a nice shifter ball-mine has some silver peeling off around the ring on top.

John -

Sorry for the delay - been laid up awhile. If you still have the drivers side swivel base, I'll take it. Just let me know about shipping/payment and I'll make it happen. Thanks - Randy

Hi Trevor
I don't remember what the 1973 backup lights looked like. Can you describe them for me? Are they mounted in the bumper? I know 1974 had a filler panel including the gas tank door, and I believe they were in that panel. Did 1973 have the same setup?

they are clear rectangular lights set horizontal in the bumper, I would take a pic but it's too dark.
Thanks

Update: Passengerside fender sold to Leon. I still have the drives side and nose piece.

The best swivel base is gone, don't remember if it was drivers or pass. side.

Still have console parts

Still have 1973 tail lights, but not 1974's

Still have most of the filler panels

Have seat belts that came out of 1977 442 but am not sure the back seat ones are factory. Black plastic releases, small narrow male ends.

Have thin rocker panel trim, don't remember which year car they came off of but know they're 1973-77 Cutlass/442

Also have bumpers from 1977, really heavy with metal supports in the back

Several pieces of glass including S/442 rear windshields

If they're in the bumper I probably don't have them. If you haven't created a parts wanted thread yet I'd encourage you to give that a shot.
