1973 442

Today while at a South Florida junkyard I came across a 1973 442 green/black. I know that It's not a hot year, but it was a mostly complete buckets & console car. If anyone needs parts ( small-medium Size) let me know & I'll see what I can do to help you. It was sad to see that someone just gave up and wrecked it. Are there any special 73-75 only parts that are needed?....

I think they are cool, the grills are 442 specific. Is the car restorable? It would be rare too if it was a 4spd with 455!

The '73 442 wasNOT 455 4spd. If it was it would be @ home allready even with the huge dent in the roof. 350 with #8 heads and th350. A true parts car. I though I would post this just in case somebody needed '73 parts, You hardly see these anymore. I did remove the body tag in the event that somebody wants it for research....

1973 was a real bad year for rustout on these cars due to the amount of imperfections in the sheetmetal. Lucky that it's survived this far.
You might also want to post the info in the 73-77 forums. I was looking through their registry today and there are quite a few that are being restored.

Thanks for posting it here though. Which 350 does it have? There are 3 codes listed for 73 : H, K, M. M would definitely be cool; it's listed as a 200 hp with dual exhausts.

re: 455 4 speed. 73 was available with a 455 (U or V code) and a Muncie 4speed wide ratio tranny. Not sure if you were just aluding to the car you're talking about, or 73 442's in general.

I'll take the grills, front bumper filler panels, front turn signal housings with lenses, and the oil/water/temp/fuel gauge (if it has it) with the oil press, and water temp sending units with the wiring harness if possible. does it have the sport steering wheel? hows the plastic interior panels, and door panels? does it have pw/pl?

How are the bumpers?
Looking for clean original, not cores, and WITHOUT the rubber strip?

Does it have cruise control? I'd be interested in some of those parts.
