1972 Cutlass Supreme

Someone pulled out in front of the previous owner back in 1995. The car went into his backyard where it sat until yesterday, when I finally convinced the owner to sell it before it was too far gone to be of any use to anyone. Good thing too, the lower rear quarters are shot, the trunk floor will need replacing, and the panel between the rear window and the trunk will need to be replaced. I haven't checked out the floorboards yet.
The interior is complete and looks really nice. The seats are firm. The console looks really good, and the seat belts look nice. I'll get it cleaned out Saturday and take some pictures. The motor is complete with all the A/C components. I have'nt tried to start it yet.

I am pulling the snorkel off of the engine and the dash cluster out. I am leaving everything else in the car.

$2500.00 OBO

Thanks

Thats too bad, the damge looks to be minor and if repaired back when it first happened, it would have made someone a nice car.

Thanks for the quick reply. Just a little too far away from Illinois. I was hoping you were closer.

Thanks.

I am hoping to sell the entire car. But if that doesn't happen, I will gladly part it out.
Thanks

Here are a few more pictures of the car. I have a really nice hood and a couple of other small parts that may help out in putting this car back on the road.

Since it was a glancing blow off the side, there is a good chance the frame is not bent.
If the frame is straight, it will be a fairly easy repair.
Rest of it looks pretty good. Trunk and 1/4's have patch panels available so this one I hope is savable.

I bought a '72 Chevelle about 20 years ago and it was wrecked worse than this one. I bought a parts car for $100 and one new inner fender, fender, trunk pan and a new gas tank. Finished restoring the car a year or two ago and sold it for $18,000. My 1971 Cutlass convertible is much worse than this one. I spent about $3,000 on new quarters, floor pan, trunk pan, and new ram air hood, rust free trunk lid, both fenders and both doors. Sheet metal installation is almost complete. This one here would be a piece of cake to restore. Especially with a nice interior.

X2. Cars in a lot worse shape have been restored. I wonder how much rust is under that vinyl top. That could be the deciding factor as to whether to restore or not.
