1970 W30 Intake
No it's not. It's clearly the 406115 casting number....that was used only for '70 W-30 alum intakes and the '70 intakes were made w/either "OLDSMOBILE" or "OLDS" cast into them ("early" and "late"). Casting number and rear water outlet diameter changed for '71.
I don’t want to derail the for sale thread, just wanted to also confirm this is a 70 intake that is for sale.
Interesting, U would have figured that would be a late style. I had very late mid June 70 W30 with full Oldsmobile on it. I guess i should ne interested in that if I land the car I'm looking at but i don't want to jinx it and grab it now. Where is seller located?
This is absolutely accurate and further the larger heater fitting was due to fact that the heater valve in 1971 was different from 1970 / earlier units. With respect to cars that had AC. They worked reversed entailing a different dash control unit as well.
