1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 8-Track Tape Player - Original & Complete
Selling one 8-track tape player and components for all 1970 F-85, Cutlass, 442 and Vista Cruiser. The Delco radio ID tag has fallen off, but I believe it to be unit number 03BT411.
I recall that it was removed from a 1970 Cutlass SX in a salvage yard back in the late 1980s. I bench-tested the tape player all the way back in 1990. After replacing the drive belt, I found it to work very well. Of course, things can change over decades of time and electronic components can deteriorate, so consider that this is in "as-is" condition. It has been stored in dry indoor storage since we have owned it.
The appearance of the player face, *****, buttons, woodgrain face, and housing are all very good. There is no pitting on the metal control buttons and *****. There are some light scratches in the painted housing. All of the player's wiring is uncut and free of damage. The single wire for the rear speaker has been cut. There are no cracks or breakage in the player housing.
Included are the lower dash air outlets from the same vehicle, and the player rear support bracket. All in all, it is a very nice complete player.
