Up for sale is a 1970 rear diamond back housing for a 1100880 or 1100890 1970 442 alternator. Use your existing alternator guts and a reproduction open faced front casing or send to an alternator rebuilder. This is the hardest part to find for the alternator. Asking $400 plus shipping. Found another one, this is the hard part to get….have open spoke faces available and just swap out any 10 si alternator guts to complete.

 

Very difficult part to locate, price point not unreasonable. Good luck with your sale! You might add the applicable years as there are two styles, ‘69-earlier and ‘70-later. 😊. (Don’t ask me why I know this useless trivia)😁

Whats the difference between this back and a 69 back? Is there any damage to the housing?

Bernhard, Joe beat me to it (thanks Joe).There is no damage to the housing of either one. I also have complete 69 open faced alternators with the diamond back raised fins if you’re interested. I can obtain the open faced 6 spoke fronts to complete the 70 assembly. Pm or text me 661-203-6953.
