I detect a little bit of sarcasm perhaps……The wheel is not leather and has no leather in it. It is a high density rubber or similar material that is prone to off gassing and leaving a sticky feel and substance that seems to weep from the material. Most of these wheels being close to 50 yrs old seem to suffer from the same issue. Could you answer honestly how sticky does this one get after it sits for a while and isn’t cleaned?

thanks for clearing that up, it’s definitely rubber then, there was a sticky feel to it when I removed it from the box it was in, cleaned it up a good bit. I guess the sealant is what causes it to be so sticky. Also, I assumed leather due to the grain and the threaded look to it on the outside. I’ll edit the post. Thanks!
