1970-72 Cutlass Bumper Cores

Anybody need a solid core to replate??? I've got multiples of each year, 1970-72 your choice $50 plus shipping. Dents, some rust but nothing deep that would affect the integrity.

Steven, kind of a flashback in time isn't it

w-30dreamin, I've got coffee cans of nuts and bolts in the garage, more than a few. I may have some decent ones but don't know if I'll have the time to dig for them next weekend. Unfortunatly I'm not as organized as I'd like to be.

Can I get a pic of the best 71-72 bumper that you have. Also, do you have any rear bumper brackets?

Sorry guys, I've not had time to get online for a few days.

Hooker29, if your still looking for a set please give me more information on where you need them shipped.

I've still got a stack of solid cores and a few that may be driver condition bumpers.

AZ72CUTLAS, here's a 1971-72 front bumper that's one of the better ones I have. It has been straightened and replated at some point in the past. The marks on the back are evidence of that. I would pull the brackets, lights and license plate. If you wanted the bare bumper for $40 plus shipping I would do that. If you want to see more pictures or get a shipping estimate send me a PM with your shipping address. John

Thanks again my friend, I can't imagine the time and effort it would take to sort and sell a bunch of old car parts. I hope you and the family enjoy the vaca, and once again I apologize for the rush.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Julian
It would likely be next weekend before I can dig them out. I'm sure I've got solid cores, maybe driver quality bumpers for both the front and back of 71-72.

Sorry, I don't have an extra one of those at this time. They are being made reproduction but I've not seen one in person. So I don't have an opinion on how good of quality they are.

Hi Guys
Sorry, work hit a busy stretch and this is the first day off I've had in about three weeks. Please send me a PM or email and I'll send you photos of what I have.

Rudy, you wanted bumpers for a 1970. Scotty, what year/model do you need a bumper for?

What is a standard cost to replate a bumper? Cheaper than a aftermarket?

Rudy, I'll send you some photos of what I've got this weekend.

Propaneking, these are being made aftermarket for less than what it would cost to replate one. Some people would rather do their own replating than go with aftermarket. But a few members here have purchased the aftermarket and been happy with the weight of the steel and quality of the chrome. If you have time do a search I'm pretty sure Allan R has posted his experience with a repop so you could use his name in the search option.

David, sorry I don't have an extra 1970 with cutouts rear bumper.

Hartis, I'll send you an email too. I still have extra bumpers and am pretty sure I've got a set for the 1971-72 that would be decent drivers. I messed up my back last month and am not able to wrap and ship the bumpers right now. If you can wait a couple weeks I can probably set you up. If your needing something sooner you might create a parts wanted thread to see who else has extras for sale. This is an old ad, I'd like to raise the price a little but since you asked first I'll sell to you for the price you saw in the first post. John
